HOSE OF YOU who have seen our musical programs realize that here in Los Angeles (FSSP.la) we do “full blown” High Masses each week, with organ, polyphony, chant, SATB hymns, and so forth. But not all our Masses are like that. From time to time, we do simple chant Masses—and we’ll do that today, the Feast of the Epiphany:

To match the ancient acrostic, Erasmus changed the first line to “Herodis Hostes”—but that’s another story! A lovely modern setting of this hymn (with organ) can be found here.
