“I have, on the other hand, retained several more or less traditional tunes, absolutely valueless and without merit from a musical point of view, but which seem to have become a necessity if a book is to appeal—as I hope this one will—to the varied needs of various churches.”
— A. Edmonds Tozer (1905)

4001 Francisco Guerrero (composer) died 1599AD

Most CCW donations are spent on mundane items like website repairs, but whenever possible we try to promote artists. For example, there wasn’t a decent picture of Guerrero (a devout Catholic who died in 1599AD) so we commissioned the jaw-dropping painting you see above. It’s based on Pacheco’s version, created the year Guerrero died.

Corpus Christi Watershed is a 100% volunteer organization; none of us is paid.

Please consider donating $5.00 per month.
