“The problem of the new Missal resides in its departure from the continuous history which was going on before and after Pius V, and that it creates definitely a new book (although with old material). Its appearance is accompanied by a type of prohibition of what was traditional, being such a type of prohibition alien to the ecclesiastical history of law and of liturgy. From my personal knowledge of the conciliar debates and from the repeated reading of the speeches of the Fathers of the Council, I can say with certainty, that this was not intended by them.”
— Cardinal Ratzinger, Letter to Wolfgang Waldstein (14 December 1976)

Triumph Beyond Belief … Beyond Imagination
published 28 June 2017 by Jeff Ostrowski

NEVER DREAMED any music conference could be this powerful. The presentations have been utterly inspiring, the facilities are great, the conductors are superb, and the camaraderie is out of this world. May God be praised. In a world filled with negativity, complaining, and hand–wringing, FSSP.la is doing something positive and marvelous. May God be praised.

4978 “imagine”

Listening to all these experts—Dr. Calabrese, Dr. Buchholz, Fr. Popplewell, Dr. Tappan, Chris Avendaño, and so forth—I remember why I got into music in the first place!

I am so inspired, and the week is only half over!

The days are EXTREMELY LONG … but we can’t stop, because it’s so amazing.
