According to tradition, Pope Saint Victor changed the Mass from Greek to Latin, and was called by Saint Jerome “the first Latin writer in the Church.” The mission of the FSSP—personally given to them by Pope Saint John Paul II—is to make the Latin Mass available to Catholics desiring it.
