O self-respecting musician would post the video I’m about to post. It’s embarrassing to hear myself sing the Soprano notes—and only a truly insane person would share this with the world. But I “fit the bill,” so here goes! Throughout my entire life, I’ve tried to get my volunteer choirs to listen to midi recordings, but they always demand a “real” voice. They even prefer my screechy Soprano voice to a computer midi file, such as those created by Sibelius. The following video was created under a major time crunch. It’s “Part 2” of a Lassus SANCTUS (“Missa De Feria in Septimana Sancta”), which I posted a few weeks ago. You can download the PDF score and individual parts at #79899.
Does anybody else make rehearsal videos like these?
(By the way, I have excellent female singers who often help me create them; but sometimes there isn’t time.)
