"Father Isaac Jogues was truly a martyr before God, rendering witness to Heaven and earth that he valued the Faith and the propagation of the gospel more highly than his own life, and losing it in the dangers into which, with full consciousness, he cast himself for Jesus Christ…" — Fr. Jerome Lalemant (writing in 1647)

“It would be a grave error to imagine that the principle orientation of the sacrificial action is towards the community. If the priest celebrates «VERSUS POPULUM», which is legitimate and often advisable, his spiritual attitude ought always to be «VERSUS DEUM PER JESUM CHRISTUM», as representative of the entire Church.”
— Official Vatican Statement (25 September 2000)

UR DREAM WOULD BE to never delete a single comment. Our dream would be to never ban a single person. However, we reserve the right to delete comments we deem inappropriate.

Here are some reasons your comment might be deleted:

Your comment sounds harsh or rude.

Your comment reveals that you didn’t read the Blog entry.

You post nonsense (graffiti) that defaces our website.

You are a “cheater.”
(see below)

IF WE DELETE your comment . . . don’t hate us forever! After all, our moderators are human beings. We’re not infallible. Sometimes we wake up on the wrong side of the bed. And a few of us have been known to be mischievous.

What or who is a “cheater” ?   ANSWER: A cheater is someone known to personally attack others and/or purposely distort the truth when visiting a website idealogically aligned to his own viewpoint. The cheater then goes to other civilized venues and acts polite. This is unacceptable behavior.
