The idea came while doing the washing up, mulling over how to make a design big enough to cover a bedspread. What if the pages of a book were laid out in a pleasing pattern? How would it look using the Liber, with it’s variations of light music and denser areas of text?
Curiosity and irascible appetite got the better of me and the end result is available here on Redbubble.
The scarf comes up first, but the bedspread idea is still available there if you dig around. The scarf seemed to have potential as an alternative to my regular mantilla, though the large polyester square is very different to my regular cotton lace mantilla. The greeting card shrinks the design down so it is impossible to read the pages, but you can click on the photo to the left to see that the scarf is quite readable, apart from a few places where a page has been cropped too closely.
The technical meanderings are briefly described here.
And I would like to wish my mother a Happy Birthday for today too.
