Helen was a rare person. She cared deeply about others. She was a faithful Roman Catholic. She dedicated her life to the Church, putting all her other hopes, dreams, and aspirations on hold. Surely God will reward her for this.
I met Helen several times. She was absolutely consumed with a desire to help the Church. She possessed no jealousy. Her only concern was serving God and loving her family.
Helen Hull Hitchcock (“HHH”) headed ADOREMUS, a very important organization. I really hope ADOREMUS will continue, because its work was crucial. As a matter of fact, it was probably the most important organization dedicated to the Sacred Liturgy for about twenty years. But whether or not her organization continues is no longer her concern. She fought the good fight. Her struggles are over now.
