“Each Mass contains the slaying of the Victim, not repeated here in the West after centuries, made once only long ago in Palestine, yet part of the sacrifice offered throughout the world each morning. All Masses are one sacrifice, including the death of the cross, continuing through all time the act of offering then begun … Every time we hear Mass we look across that gulf of time, we are again before the cross, with his mother and St. John; we offer still that victim then slain, present here under the forms of bread and wine.”
— Fr. Adrian Fortescue (d. 1923)

Please wear your best clothing—this is a special offering to God, and shows our guests that we take seriously the most Sacred Liturgy.

I am going to work you very hard on Sunday, starting at 5:00pm.

So please be prepared to work hard on this choral music. Consider bringing water.

Here’s the MUSICAL PROGRAM for Sunday—please make sure you know your music very well, although ladies don’t have to learn the Communion this week.

We will be taking some choir breaks after 14 May. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, please begin learning #5612, because after two years I think we are ready to sing the full Gloria!

Also, please begin learning #5984, a new setting of the CREDO.
