"Upon the road, René was always occupied with God. His words and the discourses he held were all expressive of submission to the commands of Divine Providence, and showed a willing acceptance of the death which God was sending him. He gave himself to God as a sacrifice, to be reduced to ashes by the fires of the Iroquois, which that good Father's hand would kindle. He sought the means to bless Him in all things and everywhere. Covered with wounds as he himself was, Goupil dressed the wounds of other persons, of the enemies who had received some blows in the fight as well as those of the prisoners. He opened the vein for a sick Iroquois. And he did it all with as much charity as if he had done it to persons who were his best friends."
— St. Isaac Jogues (writing in 1643)

Christmas Midnight Mass is five days away! We have new music to begin learning after Christmas, so let’s take the final challenge. Let’s learn the “Christe” Section of the KYRIE by Palestrina and try to sing it at Midnight Mass! This emphasis is reflected here:

Do you understand the chart? Another way to think about it:

If you don’t see us underneath the Church, we’re in Father’s little Chapel next to the Parking Lot.

Remember we will be in the dark, so you MUST know your music very well. Jo Anne is bringing a tiny light for your binder.

Remember Jeff has to go setup the choir loft at 11:35pm, so we only have an hour to rehearse.

Please TRY YOUR BEST to arrive no later than 10:30pm.

Choose “extra” nice clothing, as a special Christmas gift to our Lord. After Midnight Mass, Father will take a picture with the choir.
