“In all this mediaeval religious poetry there is much that we could not use now. Many of the hymns are quite bad, many are frigid compositions containing futile tricks, puns, misinterpreted quotations of Scripture, and twisted concepts, whose only point is their twist. But there is an amazing amount of beautiful poetry that we could still use. If we are to have vernacular hymns at all, why do we not have translations of the old ones?”
— Fr. Adrian Fortescue (d. 1923)

In Paradisum | Pray for Peace
published 11 September 2013 by Richard J. Clark

N THIS DAY let us pray for peace and for those who died before us. Let us pray for those who have suffered great loss and for those who suffer because they do not know the love of God.

Let us thank God for His great blessings and for His protection and guidance.

Pray unceasingly for those who protect us and watch over us each and every day. Pray for their families.

Pray always.
