“I prefer to say nothing, or very little, about the new calendar, the handiwork of a trio of maniacs who suppressed—with no good reason—Septuagesima and the Octave of Pentecost and who scattered three quarters of the Saints higgledy-piddledy, all based on notions of their own devising!”
— Fr. Bouyer, Consilium member appointed by Pope Paul VI

‘’Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper.’’ (Colossians 3:12)

Dr. Ronda’s examples: Lots of patience with travel, thinking about how on 5 hour flights they don’t serve free food as they used to years ago and how there is no room for small valises in the overhead bins, because people rightly don’t like paying $27 for their bigger valise. I thought about all this without getting impatiently fussed up, figuring that is just the way it is going to be to keep costs down on flights. Usually I would feel a need to talk rancorously about these changes with the other passengers while waiting on line. I felt more serene not doing that number this time!

Your examples:

Prayer: Holy Spirit of Peace, help me to see how peaceless it truly is to be impatient most of the time. Let me value true peace from accepting what I cannot change.
